Check out the Winter Festival on Flickr. Over a foot of snow fell in October 2011 in Grafton. Although it is not out of the ordinary for Grafton to see snow in October, it is a bit unusual to see two back to back storms with moderate accumulations. The last moderate accumulation of snow in Grafton  in the month of October was in 2008, as the image to the left depicts.

Route 2 heading west – August 28th, 2011

  On August 27th and 28th an excess of 6 inches of rain fell in Grafton in just a short time which in turn lead to some flash flooding across the area. State Highway Route 2 was over come by the rising water on the 28th.  There are two (2) weather stations located within Grafton. One weather station is located in SouthEast Grafton and provides residents at that elevation (1650′) more insight as to what the conditions are in that area… Read More
