Free Recycling Plan for 2008

 

Requirements & Procedures


One pass will be issued by the Grafton Town Clerk to qualified Grafton property owners beginning May 17, 2008. Pass must be picked up in person at the Grafton Town Hall. Please call ahead to be sure someone will be at the Town Hall to issue your pass.

IF YOU PLAN ON BRINGING IN YOUR RECYCLING AND OBTAINING YOUR FREE TICKET AT THE SAME TIME, BE SURE TO CALL AHEAD OF TIME TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS THERE TO ISSUE YOUR TICKET. CALL 279-3565.

Must be a Grafton property owner. In the case of Grafton renters, the property owner must obtain passes for the renters.

Pass may only be picked up by a Grafton property owner, unless the owner gives in writing, his/her permission for someone else to pick up the pass. In this case, the person picking up the pass must be specifically named in the letter by the property owner.

Your Pass can be utilized during time the Recycling Center is open beginning May 17, 2008 through June 28, 2008.

When pass is presented at the recycling center, fees lifted on the following:

Furniture
Hot Water Heaters (Must be stripped of insulation)
Scrap Metal (Free year round)
White Goods (Appliances – Limit of 1 item per pass)
Mattresses & Box Springs
Tires (Up to 16”–Limit 4 Per Pass – Tires greater than 16” will be charged
normal fees)
Rugs
Lightweight Construction Materials (No Shingles)
TV’s, Microwaves, Computer Monitors (Limit 1 item per pass)

No Propane Cylinders

Limited to one trip per household with a vehicle up to ¾ tons. Any vehicle greater than ¾ will be charged for the excess accordingly. Loads will be restricted to cab level of the vehicle carrying material. If vehicle is overloaded, the Recycling Coordinator’s will charge a fee for the amount of material in excess.
